Sonny Parra Memorial Scholarship

The Sonny Parra Memorial Scholarship was established to help open the door for individuals looking to start their journey in the electrical utility and communications industry. Our mission is to inspire and promote the lineman trade for today and for the future. 

• The candidate must submit an application by August 1 of the year they will graduate.
• The candidate must submit 3 letters of recommendation: one from their high school advisor, one letter from a teacher/coach and one letter from a friend or relative.
• The candidate must submit a picture for advertising purposes.

• The candidate must be a high school senior on January 1 of the year the scholarship is awarded.
• The candidate must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• The candidate must plan on pursuing further education in lineman/journeyman certification.
